What does a Coastal Rush driver do?
Drivers collect orders, parcels and approved errand items and deliver them using the details provided in the Driver App.
Do I need my own vehicle?
You need reliable transport appropriate for the deliveries you accept.
Can I choose when I work?
Delivery opportunities depend on demand and availability. We explain driver availability and accepting deliveries during onboarding.
How much can I earn?
Your earnings depend on completed deliveries and any tips you receive. You keep 80% of each delivery fee, while Coastal Rush takes a 20% commission on that fee. All tips are 100% yours. For example, a R71 delivery fee and R10 tip leave you with R56.80 in delivery earnings plus the full R10 tip: R66.80 in total.
Does Coastal Rush take any of my tips?
No. Drivers keep 100% of their tips. The 20% commission applies only to delivery fees and is never deducted from tips.
What happens after I apply?
Your details and documents are reviewed before approval. Coastal Rush will notify you after the review. Submitting an application does not activate a driver account immediately.
What documents should I have ready?
Have clear photos of your ID document, driver's licence and a recent selfie ready. A vehicle photo is optional. You will also need your vehicle details, contact information and bank details.
What if I need help during a delivery?
Contact Coastal Rush support and explain the issue, including the relevant order details. Keep the customer informed of delays and update statuses accurately in the Driver App.
Does applying guarantee approval?
No. Applications and documents are reviewed, and approval depends on meeting Coastal Rush's requirements.
